Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie (born November 24 in 1982) is an American political commentator. She was a former politician, and a TV host on MSNBC and a frequent contributor for The Huffington Post, and former cohost of The Hill’s Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear in the month of May that they would be leaving the show to begin their own venture, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with Kyle Kulinski. She has appeared as a guest on various networks, including CNN, CNBC, Fox News and programs including Real Time with Bill Maher. In 2020, Ball is married to Jonathan Dariyanani. Ball attributes her increased interest in politics to being an expectant mother in 2008's primaries. Also, she watched the US elections while living in Jordan. She was able to observe how the outcome affected people in that country, and thus became aware of the impact that US politics have on the lives of people around the world. She was a senior fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee in Virginia's 1st Congressional District for Congress in 2010, losing to Rob Wittman, who is the incumbent Republican. She was host of The Cycle, a MSNBC television show she co-hosted from June 2012 until August 2015. She founded the People's House Project, an action committee working for Democratic causes in May of 2017.
