 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born August 19, 1965 is an American actor. She is most famous for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. In the final season of the show, Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist.
